When Jeffrey's Coltrane boots came out, I was probably the first to oogle at its cut outs, strategically placed buckles, and beautiful harmony of tough grunge yet simple chic. Even though they weren't thaaat expensive, as in in comparison to shoes worth my tuition bill, like I said, being a college student or even just simply a middle class American = no Coltranes unless I wanted to begin my debt rather early. That being said, when some really cute impersonations came out I was the first in line. Being an upcoming designer myself, I know I'd hate it if people bought a replica instead of my original, but damn then that would tell me all I needed to know about the price tag! Haha, so my outfit yesterday reflected on the booties. I love the wash of them, original to the originals I believe, and it coincidentally went right along with my thrifted dress. Did I even mention the heat? By three it was around 92 degrees with that I bet was 100% humidity because it literally felt like hell, hence the bun.

Very obviously my forehead expands into the heavens but I actually don't enjoy covering it. However, when I do get the chance to do the lovely curly fringe of my dreams, I never pass it up. Monday I had the same curls, but this time I highlighted them with a braided halo. I think I'd look so great with short hair but I just can't do it, I love my hair long too much. I think that fact is incredibly sad, lol. This outfit is the first really "put together" outfit I've really worn ever since I've entered the college life. It's so sad but I feel like I've been slacking on my styling game. Not for any particular reason except that nobody is even remotely considered competition on campus. Not that I dress to compete and compare myself to others, no that's quite lame, but the fact that everybody doesn't do much, don't attempt to go over and beyond, not only saddens me but it makes me lazy. ~Solution~ ingore the rusty bitches and continue being fabulousx10.

I may be the only person on the face of this planet that loves Mondays. ~I may have already said this but uh wutevs~ Seriously Mondays aren't serious at all, if anything they're still an extension of the weekend. Ponder on this: when does the real work begin? Nobody wants to do anything on Monday; some people are still hungover, dwelling on their festivities... Reality doesn't strike your soul until deathly Tuesdays. I can't stand Tuesdays, haha. In any case, Monday was great as it usually is. I begin the day with dance, as I also do on Wednesdays, resulting in multiple outfit changes during my hour long break, after deathly Geology, transitioning into English. This unfortunate case is actually extremely annoying cause modern dance = sweat, hair out of my face, no make-up, and a nasty mess rushing to Geology. ~sacrifices

Surprisingly enough my work load isn't at an overwhelming amount yet so there's no real excuse for my lack of updating! I don't know what to say; I have no legitimate reasoning so I'll just leave y'all with an apology. I'll just combine the past few days into this one post then continue with yesterday and today further on... Again, apologies!

I write to you as a survivor of first week of classes! It wasn't all that morbid. My classes are all straight forward- which is great because it leaves little room for confusion afterwards. I am making friends here and there. Still trying to get a balance of both academics (come first) and social life. Anyways, I headed to DC with my brother for a short trip. Another convenience of my university- close proximity to DC. We headed to the National Gallery of Art (see the first series of pictures). We barely scraped the surface when we visited. It is a pretty detailed and thorough museum. There is also an outside garden portion. I think touring the museum will wait for another day. Later we walked down to a local shop - Shake and Shack. They had great food! They even had a mushroom burger for people like me. I will be able to write a lot more often, now that I purchased a digital camera! No more blackberry struggle pictures. I know.. Who would think, the photographer without a camera. Anyways, until then!
Je vous embrasse,

Old readers and new victims should be very aware by now that my life before getting to university~ hell even during this lame environment~ my life pertained pretty much nothing except school and clothes. This is still a fact of my life, except now the woman who gave birth to me is attempting to change things. Lemme get more specific. My mother is trying to add a little excitement to our lives by taking us to do all the things we should've enjoyed while infants and drooling children. It's a really endearing attempt to make up for a loss of childhood really, but it's awfully late for me. In any case, this is what my weekend consisted of: recreating a memory that actually never existed.
