I love the fact that fashion week begins with New York City, basically the only place to be and be considered living in my opinion. The vibes of Spring/Summer 2014 Ready-to-Wear was very laid back, minimal effort, blacks, whites, and taupes. There were a few designers who went full force creativity wise, highlighted below, and that is exactly what I adore seeing. As an aspiring designer, I love to mix prints, take risks, splash color, and make use of accessories! That was the downfall in many collections this year. Although we can all appreciate effortless beauty, this is S/S we're talking about, where was the damn ambiance?! Nonetheless, the collections were gorge and you could see the work put in. Not to mention the amount of ethnic models on the catwalk this season! I discovered many new or not as known designers that I immediately fell in love with. Here are some of my personal faves.

DVF went with her classic style as always. I loved this collection. There was nothing completely out there, which I appreciate. Just marketing for that older 20's girl who has a built life but needs to remain chic.

Geology will be the death of me, I state this now. I hate rock identification, classification, and not to mention the fact that my lab midterm, MIDTERM, is next week. What!? I haven't even had any tests in any of my classes yet, including the lecture! We literally have to memorize all of the rocks in their entirety by next week; don't think it's something simpler like multiple choice, oh no, that would be far too easy. I don't even know what to expect from any of my professors exam/test wise. I'm trying to go with the flow, but it'd help if the flow was going.
So as usual, my outlets are in my clothes and in dance. I literally just came back from our hip hop dance troupe's first workshop of the season, with tryouts this Thursday. I made our fusion dance team, hip hop, Bhangra, and Bollywood, and I'm just so happy to be doing some sort of dancing at the moment. But school wise it's already time for prayer.

I can tell from yesterday that my workload has just about doubled within the last couple of days. I hate it when this happens so suddenly because it freaks me out and I start to panic and stress. I just began to join some student organizations and I don't want to have to let those go in order for my school work not to suffer..
This outfit was literally tossed together after waking up late from an incredibly unfortunate night. On insta I captioned it "mixed prints" which I believe does it complete justice.

Another unbearably hot day in Virginia was Thursday. Thank God the weather is finally finding its balance cause I was too tired of it. Everybody knows Winter is my favorite season but Autumn is my favorite clothing season ~like what everybody wants to claim now cause hating summer is soooo IN~ Anywho, I actually really adored my outfit this day; it was so sailor cute then suddenly, supposedly very like Virginia, there was a sudden downpour while the sun was still blisteringly hot. It left as quickly as it came, much to everybody's aggravation, then after its break it didn't stop raining until maybe 8 at night. Ridiculous.
